REMEMBER: A line goes on forever both ways; a ray starts at a point and shoots one way; a segment is a piece with two endpoints. Two lines are parallel if they never meet and perpendicular if they cross at a right angle. Angles come in flavors: right (exactly 90°), acute (less than 90°), obtuse (between 90° and 180°). A shape has a line of symmetry if it folds along that line into two matching halves. A shape can have 0, 1, 2, or more lines of symmetry.

        Parallel
        Two lines in the same plane that never meet, always the same distance apart. Marked with matching arrowheads.
        Perpendicular

        Regular polygon
        All sides equal and all angles equal. A regular n-gon has n lines of symmetry.
